M. J. Dawn is my pen name for Dark Monster Smut stories (sexy, dark paranormal romance) featuring demons, monsters, shape-shifters, vampires, and villains... and women who unleash their darkness. But my vampires don’t sparkle, and they’re certainly not vegetarians. And my shape-shifters like to bite down hard, too. And if a demon of mine happens to glow, it’s definitely not because of a halo.

My male protagonists are dark, supernatural bad boys: rough, broken guys. Deadly. Sexy. Nasty... and not of this world. Yet romance is a key element in my stories. My creatures love, hate, have longings, desires, and deep emotions.

Love sucks... dark desires, too.

My female characters endure pain, grief, and misfortunes that help them grow and mature into strong heroines. Dark desires—especially sexual ones—also take root within them, experienced free from feelings like morality, guilt, and shame, which can be seen as an expression of a new feminism.
I write in the dark paranormal romance genre. Be aware that this is a subgenre of dark romance. My male protagonists are dark fantasy figures, and their lust is just as dark. So things get hot, kinky, and dominant.

The language in my stories is youthful, and so are the main characters. So don’t be surprised by the blunt, sometimes vulgar, and youthful way of speaking.

My books focus on dark ménage à trois and reverse harem stories, because I love stories where several men fall in love with one woman.
